Parish Health Ministry

This ministry is designed to meet the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of members in their search for wellness and a better quality of life. They provide health counseling, blood pressure screenings, and support for members of the congregation. The Parish Health Ministry also sponsors regular blood drives with the American Red Cross throughout the year.Click here for FAQ's about Donating Blood.

Valley Lutheran supports on-site counseling services for individuals and families in need through qualified counselors from Lutheran Family Services. Additionally, Mary Myers is a professional counselor who provides counseling for individuals and couples at Valley Lutheran Church.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry connects to others knitting and crocheting prayer shawls for those in need. Patterns and instruction provided.

Valley’s Ride Ministry provides rides to and from church services, physician’s appointments or therapy sessions when needed.

The Casserole Ministry typically provides meals to those in need due to hospitalization recoveries etc.

Valley Lutheran’s Prayer Chain holds up in prayer special requests and always looking for more people interested in being "prayer warriors" for the Lord and his people.

Care Giving in the Home

If you are caring either part or fulltime for a loved one, the coming series is for you. This American Red Cross Course will be offered as single classes at the church during the year. You do not have to be a member to attend. Watch for more details & sign-up information.

The Casserole Committee

The Casserole Committee is a group of people who individually make a meal for someone in need. Deby Lexow is the current chair of this committee and alerts the committee when a person or a family has a need. If you would like to be part of this group, contact the church office.

New Grief Support Group

Renewing Hope ....for Happiness is a non-denominational support group for those who have lost a loved one. We're here to be good listeners, share each other's burdens and demonstrate Christ's love. Meet at the church monthly on the 3rd Sunday at 4:00 pm.
