This is a child friendly church.

From the time of infancy children are welcome here. A Crying Room located adjacent to the sanctuary where parents are invited to rock inpatient babes and still enjoy the worship experience. Jesus Little Lambs Nursery is a ministry of Valley Lutheran to care for infants and toddlers while their parents attend 10:30 a.m. Praise Services on Sunday mornings. The children are played with, read to, and given loving care and attention.

Children’s Sunday School is an integral part of church life and helps us to grow in our relationship with Christ. Everyone can benefit from participation in Sunday School and Valley Lutheran is committed to providing classes for children of all ages. Toddlers through 5th grade typically join their parents in the sanctuary for part of the worship experience. Then, prior to the sermon, children are dismissed to their classes.

Vacation Bible School is held for a week each summer to touch children’s hearts and lives with Jesus’s love. Adults and teens model Jesus’ love to children by teaching them about Jesus.

Youth Ministry is a vital part of our Valley Lutheran menu. The ministry is geared to Christian growth, service and fellowship for our young people. The Youth Ministry Team meets monthly to plan for activities for children of all ages.

Junior High youth attend Confirmation Classes beginning the fall of 7th grade. They attend a week long summer confirmation camp as well. Valley's youth attend the LCMS Ohio District Junior High Gathering held each spring and the LCMS National Youth Gathering held every three years.
